“I haven’t accepted my son’s diagnosis, I never will. Call it denial, I won’t accept it. “I’m learning to deal with it the best I know how but I will never accept it. Period.”
He understood clearly that his son did not have years to wait for Governments to understand the urgency required, or for the small amount of research funding trickling through to become enough to enable researchers to find a cure quickly enough, so he decided to do something about it himself.
He decided to begin raising money to fund research and he called this charity Save Our Sons and some of the biggest and most influential people in Australia joined the fight because they knew how urgent it was.
